Helping the Working Mom’s of Mooiplaats

The daycare operates within the informal settlement of Mooiplaats, also known as Spruit.

It serves approximately 67 children between the ages of 3 and 6 years old, providing a safe and supportive environment while parents are at work.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

SMILE Impact plays a key role in supporting the implementation of a structured curriculum provided by the Department of Education, together with additional input from SMILE Impact.

SUPPORT & SUSTAINABILITY

SMILE Impact has supported Team Creative Day Care Center in registering as an independent NPO, enabling the centre to operate more sustainably and provide long-term care for the children.

Building, furniture, and maintenance support
Training in Early Childhood Development, first aid, and firefighting
The Adopt-A-Smile program, where monthly donor contributions assist families who struggle with school fees, especially those with multiple children enrolled

COMMUNITY IMPACT

SMILE Impact also extends its reach into the broader Mooiplaats community through involvement in an Early Childhood Development forum.

Supporting compliance with regulations and standards
Providing access to training opportunities such as first aid, firefighting, and child development
